Alfa 156 - replacement speakers

The bass speakers in the doors of my 156 gave up, the suspension part is no longer existing. I'm looking for 2 sets of replacements but find it very hard to source anything here in Ireland.

All that's there are 2-way or 3-way speakers or component sets which I don't really need as the tweeters are fine.

Anyone got any ideas where to get 2 sets of 17 cm/6.5 inch bass speakers at a reasonable price?

Checked ebay, amazon, adverts already.

Just buy a new set of 2 way component speakers, available at any car audio shop. Replace the tweeters & keep the old ones in case you need a spare down the road.
A new set of components will be much better in terms of build quality & sound than anything factory fitted & it'll save you time trying to buy half a component set! I'd recommend Focal.

You will probably have to bodge up a mount for a set of universal 6.5" speakers.
If the old ones are scrap, you can reuse the plastic shell, as the mount for new ones.

He's looking for bass speakers, half a component set. Not 2-way speakers with built in tweeters.

Don't know yet if I will use the tweeters that come with those sets or leave the existing ones in. Might depend on the amount of work involved.

Replace the tweeters too. The new ones will probably have filters on them that'll match up better with the new bass speakers. Keep the old ones just in case but it'd be better if you replaced them when you're doing the job.
