Suggest a sporter(shotgun)

    Lads,

    In the market for a new to me shotgun, want a multichoke sporter. Going to spend 1000-1200 euro.

    Was thinking miroku mk38, beretta??

    Also any gun shops that would have good stock im in kildare so laois offaly tipp wicklow carlow etc

    If you like Beretta see if you can get your hands one of the older Beretta 687 silver pigeons s they're nicer than the newer ones in my opinion, you should be able to get the case, chokes and all other accessories for that kind of money in good condition.

    For that budget you should easily pick up a tidy Beretta or Browning /Miroku. Older Berettas were better than the new ones, avoid the SV10, the line was discontinued which tells its own story. Lakelands Sports outside Mullingar have a great stock of second hand sporters also they have the traps there for you to shoot before to buy.

    I had a miroku 7000 years ago and loved it, worst thing i ever did selling it. Check out Ballistech in waxford.

    A mate of mine has a lovely Beretta Sporter, I think a 687, multi choke,
    Spotless he is not using if interested

    Now that's a long time ago to have had ANY kind of a shotgun! :)

    And here's me thinking that firearms were a comparatively recent development, historically speaking.
