Semi specialist weld needed

This is a broken chrome..or chrome on alloy product. Its actually the leg of a piece of furniture.

Anyone know where it could be welded in Dublin West /North Kildare. It does not have to look perfect, so destroying a 12mm of chrome or so is OK..

That looks like some type of cast stuff, which would be very hard to weld nicely.

If you're feeling handy what I would do is get it drilled and tapped, and either use something like a manifold stud or threaded bar and fix it that way. The threaded bar method would require a left handed tap which isn't easy to use as it is a very alien feeling using one backwards

Not a hope that will hold a persons weight on a structural part like a chair leg.
JB weld is good but not for this application.
OP does that part fits into another part where it narrows?
I think you will find it very difficult to get that fixed, is there a company where you can get a replacement leg?

Thanks guys... for the hint about poor possibility of weld working..   Hint about the tap is good... I might be able to drill right through the end of one piece and tap the irregular piece.. 
Also then add some of those easy braze welding rods..
