Has anyone gone into convalescence care post surgery?
    Would you recommend it?
    Is it expensive?

I spent three and a half weeks in a convalescence centre after surgery about 10 years ago. In my case it was necessary as I'd had major orthopaedic surgery and I was in a wheelchair, so it allowed some time for a few temporary changes to be made to to where I was going to be staying afterwards. I won't lie, it wasn't a barrel of laughs there, and I was the youngest resident by a long way, but it served a very useful purpose and I was very well looked after. As for price, I'm afraid I can't help as my employers rather generously made sure that everything was taken care of.
