    Hi all,

    Re saab 9-5 2.2

The oil hazard light appears on the dashboard after approximately 10 kilometers driving.

    Oil pump v oil sensor?

2 litres over full is not good. Have you at least fixed that bit yet?

What level was the oil at when the oil light came on

Is that the engine that suffers from sludge issues? If you didn't ruin the engine by ignoring the light you might get away with dropping the sump and washing out the gunge.

It was usually the 2.0 petrol engines that suffered from blocked oil feeds. General Motors in their wisdom put the catalytic converter directly below the sump, which would cook the oil on long drives causing it to loose viscosity and block the channels.

What year Saab is it? Newer cars do not have sludge issue.
