    Looking for advice here:
Had a call from Vodafone today asking would i be interested in one of their standalone broadband package 25Euro/6 Months 45Euro/for 12 Months.
This they claim is a Fibre Pckage
I told them when i had a Phone Line all i could get was 2 Megs NGB
The nearest Fibre cabinet was 2.5 KM away so thats a No go.
I happen to mention that FTTH Line was ending about 200 Metres back the road
and our house was down for the National Broadband scheme.
He then tells that they can instruct Eircom to bring a Fibre line to my house and
    they would do the installation.
But the following is whats worrying,he tells me that they would send out a guy to survey but that they needed to set up an order first and therefore they needed a Direct Debit set up ,for someone to come out.
    Is this the norm ?
If i am not happy with whats been offered can i refuse.?
Are they allowed to work on Eirs pole network?
    Thanks

Its VDSL, not real fibre. Vodafone don't resell eir FTTH. Unless there have been further cabs installed Vodafone isn't the one for you.
