Well with regard to certification for automatic gates, the only requirement for these is Health & Safety stuff that was only released in Ireland by the H&S authority within the last 18 months or so.
The query here would be, how old are the gates and when were they last serviced ?

With regard to the alarm system, well again age is the thing here, if it was installed pre 05 then it probably complies with a standard called IS 199 which has been proceeded by the current one known as EN 50131.

If it was certified when installed and only if the system has been professionally maintained since then, then it would comply with the standard.

Your best bet is to ask the previous owners.
