Update. On reporting a farmer

I posted before on advice and as there was a lot of questions about the type of cruelty I can say now I did report. The farmer in question deliberate starved 60 calfs to death and left their bodies where they fell
The dept was told a lie and so was the police the most sad part is this farmer is a fellow boards member. Where is great so many folks here are good farmers it does take a young farmer to really shock in a case like this.

Your making allegations here. I think you will have to put a bit further info to have me and others convinced.
60 calves in one year or over several years?
Are these calves tagged?
The Dept of Ag would be onto you like a flash if they see any trend.
You use the word 'police'. Most people in ROI would say Guards or Gardai.

I understand it's hard to believe. It's the gardai I know. This occurred over a year. The animals were tagged. Bones teeth ribs fur hooves were left lying in the yard.

Seeing as the situation is currently in the hands of the relevant authorities, I don't see any good coming from leaving this thread open to speculation, particularly since by your own admission, your allegation is directed towards another member here. Let the people who get paid to deal with it, deal with it.
