should there be a future retro games thread or some discussion allowed in existing threads?

Some games can get pricey by the time its A&R approved retro :) , I'd imagine now would be the time to pick up ps3/360 rarer titles, if its not too late already.

I think this is a good idea.

Some pointers for future hard to find classics on the just passed gen, and I'll include DS and 3DS too.

What and where should people be seeking those games that'll cost us and arm and a leg, as well as inevitable regret in years to come?

In my defence, to post there would have been a ZomBiiEE thread resurrection!
I've looked dumb enough for one day!

And, in the spirit of the thread I'd say a few DS games easily fall into this category, Infinite Space I think is one, if I'm not mistaken, and Cave Story 3D on the 3DS.
One of the Dragon Quest games on the DS has gained in value, hasn't it?

PS3-wise, I think 3D Dot Game Heroes is one of those that might be worth a few bob in years to come, as well as Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom, also on the 360.

Dragon Quest V was a bitch to find for a while but was reprinted so prices have returned to relative normality.

3D dot heroes will probably be a rarity in future but Maijin is a complete heap of mediocrity.

I think Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water on Wii U is a potential candidate. The English language version was only released physically in Europe as a limited edition boxset, and in Australia as a standard edition I think. Digital only in the US!

I can see the limited edition being sought after some day. It can occasionally be picked up cheap in GameStop, seem to remember someone picking it up recently for a decent price.

For Wii U, I would say:

    Wii Sports Club.
    Sniper Elite V2.
    Game and Wario.

Some of those games like that Hello Kitty racing game could be too.

Well thats me sorted so. I have Cave Story on 3DS and 3D Dot Game Heroes on PS3. Am I rich? :D

Fragile Dreams and Sin and Punishment on the Wii, very cheap now and well worth picking up.

What about that one on the WiiU that sucks but includes the superior Wii game, Rodea isn't it?
Retr0 has a copy, and is going to bring it on Saturday night.... of course....

I'm curious to see how Bayonetta 2 First Print Edition does. Especially if it never sees a release outside of the WiiU.

Funnily enough the time to buy the first print is now as it has actually come down in price in a lot of auctions for it. It was 100+ in the majority of ones when scalpers picked them up, now there's quite a few for 70-80 listed every once in a while.
