Please can someone clarify if my mortgage company will be contacted when applying for Jobseekers Allowance?. I was working abroad and had to return unexpectedly. Please can someone clarify if my mortgage company will be contacted when applying for Jobseekers Allowance?. I was working abroad and had to return unexpectedly. I have a payment arrangement in place with my mortgage and I don't want to 'upset' it. I have not told my mortgage company that I am home just yet. I am hoping to get a job and not have to tell them. Any advice? Will my mortgage company know if I apply for Jobseekers? Thanks

No,they do not contact your bank. Data Protection would stop the banks giving information and information like that is not shared.
