Tiling up to a door

What do I do with the plastic/radon barrier at the front and back doors when I am tiling up to them? I would imagine it's not good practice to tile on top of plastic especially where it would have a lot of foot traffic

Have you got a picture of the detail that your designer proposed?

No unfortunately I don't. The house is built a few years and the owner is just getting around to tiling it now. It's just where the blocks ran through the doors in the footings and the radon was lapped out over the blocks

Remove threshold and ensure radon is lapped to external.
