Anyone here familiar with or a member of this club. I'm thinking about getting into a bit of target shooting as I've a 22lr and a .223 that practically get no use whatsoever for the last few years. I just have a few questions. Can I just drop in of a Sunday morning and see what it's like and talk to someone? Also how much is membership of a club including insurance etc? I'm a member of a gun club and pay my Nargc insurance but I presume a rifle club would have totally different insurance.
My 22lr is a semi auto also and is that acceptable in a rifle range? Only asking because from my experience with clay shooting that semi autos are a pain at a range.

Not a member but if you check the list of ranges below my post you'll see that there is a full list of ranges with as many details as i could find. It would appear they are not a centrefire rifle range, but someone that is a member can confirm or correct that.

NASRPC Irish Open and 2017 IGRF World Cup now held at MNSCI, in the shooting section here, Have a look at the video on #98 semi auto .22 is the firearm of choice for smallbore Gallery rifle shooting, and there is a National shoot in Fermoy on 24th June , these are all open competitions. And if your insured ur insured.

Your semi auto can be used for Gallery Riffle Shooting, there is a league shoot happing tru out the year, so you can enter the comps with your semi auto rifle.. it's great crack and you'll get to meet lads from other clubs as the league is ran by all the Munster clubs and travels around from club to club..

Just wanted to add that if you're a college student, membership is €250 instead. I use my semi auto there so semis are no problem. They've a 50yd Bench rest range and a 50yd gallery range as well, as someone mentioned. You can use your semi for either range.
If you want, I'll pm you the number for Billy, let me know.

Also, there are centerfire rounds being fired on the gallery range. Plenty of .38 Specials found. Never found a 223 though. Worth noting that I'm fairly new there, so I'm far from knowing everything about the place. Last thing, you can't use the 223 on the bench range.

Apologies if I said anything you already knew.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'd like to make use of my .223 if possible, the Fermoy range looks like a nice set up though. I'm about 45 mins from Fermoy and 40 from MTSC in Kilfinane and maybe an hour from An Roicht in Kerry. I know An Riocht has a 300 yard range but anyone have any info on MTSC? If ye were in my location where would you choose?

Hi, send me a pm if you'd like me to ask any questions about Fermoy and membership.

I should add, however, that the range isn't rated for .223 centrefire.

Pistol calibers and .22lr only which caters for .22 bench rest, gallery rifle (.22 semi or .38 lever action), .22 rimfire pistol, centre fire pistol (9mm or .38)

    Regards
