Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

AVAST / Avira or McAfee

    I have a 12 month subscription with McAfee - it automatically renewed this year - will have to stop this for next year! My question is I have AVAST and Avira free antivirus running on 2 separate laptops and am wondering should I ditch these and use the McAfee software for the year or should I leave well enough alone?

    Is is easy to remove the free software - i.e. by using IObit Uninstaller?

    I would advise using Avast and Malwarebytes. You can uninstall free software in control panel. If you have already paid for McAfee use it on the device which you have been using it on.

    use AVAST, their security is much better

    use avast. never had an issue with it.
