    Hello,
Where can I get strong non rust brackets for hanging baskets, we repainted the house and the last brackets left an ugly stain down the wall. I got some from my local shop for a timber fence and the following day they bent over. There are so many on display it's hard to know which ones to get. Help appreciated.

I'd try Woodies, B&Q or a good garden centre

go to a local steel fabricating shop and get one of the lads to make you some in stainless.
Will last a lifetime and be worth the few bob

As was suggested, local steel fabricators, get them made up and galvanised. Will last a lifetime and will never have any rust streeks running down wall. I got all mine made up years ago, extra wide too so baskets/flowers not hitting wall. I also chain mine to wall to stop them spinning around with the wind when in full bloom.

Wow Mick, how do you chain them to the wall , it's a great idea as it can get fairly breezy here.

When the basket is hanging, mark the wall roughly level with the top of the basket. A light chain slightly longer than distance from edge of basket to the wall, simply screwed to wall. I leave them in place when I take baskets down, just clip on again the following year.

Light chain, with a washer on screw to wall to stop it going through the link.
