Well I'm going to Forbidden Fruit festival next week, it will be my first this year then Body & Soul festival a few weeks after that. Might try and catch Future Islands when they play Galway in early July. Might take the odd extended weekend to places in Europe around mid July and August and then Electric Picnic festival in September.

What is your plans for the summer?

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

Close the curtains and watch old reruns of Eastenders while surviving on Potato Waffles, Dutch Gold and John Player Blue cigarettes.

I'll be working Monday to Friday every week and also doing up the new house after work and weekends.
Summer 2017 is gonna be a memorable one :)

I'm guessing most of the above posters are younger than me.

I wanted to paint the patio.
    And buy a nice BBQ.
And then have a huge row with the missus about how I didnt paint the patio and buy a BBQ to have her relatives over every week.
And then to stay up til 1am having a few beers and telling people on boards this useless piece of info.

So I've already ticked all the boxes for this summer personally.

    Roll on Autumn.

Best of luck! I plan on doing the same. Recently started the couch to 5k. So far so good. Giving up the smokes and a friend showing me pictures of when I was actually in very good shape gave me the kick up the arse I needed.

This will finally be the summer that I successfully adult!!!

Get up early every morning to start couch 25k!
Bulk prep my meals & cook everything from scratch!
Throw myself into work & get stuff done on time!
Sort my house out & do some serious, brutal, decluttering!

...or most likely, none of the above, and just feel constantly bad that I'm not doing them.

Hoping to go camping a good bit at the weekends this year and also camp somewhere for maybe a week or two.

I really wanted to go to the Rory Gallagher Festival but I kept putting it off so that's out the window. I'll make a special effort to get tickets next year :)

Never been to it but I'd say it's fantastic, been a while since I've seen a Rory tribute.

Hopefully loads of outdoor stuff this summer including walking, kayaking and mountain biking. Enjoy it folks

Congrats! I was in great shape until about a year and half ago. Could go for an hours extreme running and be barely breaking a sweat. Not going to let myself fall again.

Best of luck with it man!

Have you tried kettlebells? Cardio and weight lifting in one. It's the big movements during weightlifting that will really torch the fat. Just my 2c,give it a lash there bai if you are up for it.

My summer tends to be the exact same as my autumn, winter and spring. I don't do anything different because it's a different season. Throughout the year I'll head off for nights here and there, meet friends, go for walks, take time off work. That continues during summer.

Contemplate life. And do some school work. And driving/pluck eyebrows/file nails in sunshine

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,633 ✭✭✭✭Widdershins

I'm taking each day as it comes, I was never a fan of making a lot of plans and prefer to do things spontaneously. I am expanding my product line in my business, so will be spending time on that, and seeing as much as possible of friends I've sort of neglected for quite a while. I might make a visit to Cornwall to see a friend there. I would like to visit Pripyat in late Summer.

Cant really do anything crazy as we are saving for our wedding in 2019 as my wife wants a church wedding rather than the registry one we did :)
