Appointing an agent on JSA?

    Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone has been on Job seekers allowance and have tried appointing an agent on their behalf to collect their dole?

Having looked through citizens information, I don't see where it states that JSA is not allowed to be utilized this way.

I'm dealing with an Agoraphobic condition so I'm currently seeking remote work, but getting out to the post office is hell for me.

    Any thoughts?

    No , unfortunately for you.
Part of the idea of JSA is that you present yourself at the PO, it's an anti fraud measure.
Have you considered applying for DA instead?

    I'm considering it!

If I'm on DA, will that make me eligible to allow the assignment of an agent?

You can have an agent or you can have DA paid into a bank account.
Send plenty of medical evidence with your DA application and a letter from yourself setting out clearly why your not available for full time work
