Apartment or house to buy.

    (Apologies if this is already discussed)

    Myself and wife work fulltime and got a 10 year old child.
    Lived in apartment for last 11 years.
    Now thinking of buying Apartment or house as we have to move out as LL want to use it.
    Know this is not the right time to buy.
    We are happy with apartments. But don't know all drawbacks of apartments.
    Normally how much is the life expectancy of a typical apartment.(don't know another right term :))

    What all points to consider before buying one.
