Down in Kilmore Quay this evening and saw 4 Naval vessels in and around the Saltees , anybody know what (if anything) was up. Unusual to see so many together.

Possibly an annual 'fleet training exercise'.

The flagship 'HPV LE Eithne' departed in the last few days on the migrant rescue mission. The remaining ships could be in the Naval Base for repairs/refit.

There were 5 vessels in total. All French registered training vessels.

We were out fishing, and they came quite close on occasion, before the anchored up.

Great sight against the sunset, got some decent pictures.

Ah, not Irish naval vessels then!

If you can share some of your pics that would be great.

Cheers for that, I had no binos so I couldn't see any colours flying. Wonder why the French were invading the Saltees???:D:D:D:D:D
