I'm trying to transfer a few videos from my wife's y5 to my laptop. When I plug it in via USB I'm getting a message on the phone saying "Charging only". She only has the phone a few days and her previous Huawei phone did this no bother.
The laptop is Dell on Windows 7

    Any help appreciated.

    1. Is it a charging only cable or have you used it to transfer data before
    2. Click on the message does it give you options.

Upload the video to google drive and download it to the computer from that

or use SHAREit (installs on various platforms and allow you share files/vids/photos's/docs etc between devices)

    Good morning folks. I'm sorted.

The cable was the problem but when I used another one it was showing the drive E but wouldn't let me into it. Turns out there was a dropdown on the phone where I had to allow access. Something like "Trust this computer" on iPhones.

Thanks for taking the trouble to answer.
