Just wondering what's the law regarding your dogs in public.
I'm presuming all must be under the control of the owner by a lead.
Just wondering what's the law on muzzles. I've a g. Shepherd and a lab. Afaik the gs must be muzzled but must the Labrador also be muzzled?

You only need to muzzle the German shepherd by law.

Also, all dogs don't have to be kept on leads, they just need to be under effectual control, which does not necessarily mean on a lead. Unfortunately by law, the German shepherd is supposed to be on lead at all times in public.

TBH I love him, but to anyone else he'd seem dangerous and I'd never leave home without him on a lead.

What's a good comfy brand of muzzle for him?

A basket-style muzzle is the only option op, any other type that restricts panting and the ability to lap water is an absolute no-no.
Baskerville is the big brand name for basket-style muzzles, they're widely available. Just make sure it's the right size for your dog.
Below is a video which nicely shows how to train your dog to happily wear a muzzle... It's really important to teach him to enjoy wearing one, rather than just shoving it on and ignoring the distress it causes. The secret is to teach the dog to put his nose into the muzzle, rather than you putting it on him, if you see the difference!

    + i for the Baskerville

I use one daily. Dog has associated it with "walks" or "going somewhere" now is very happy to see it coming.

make sure to clean it regularly, if the GS likes to sniff then it will get all sorts of gunk on it!
