Enough time to make flight?

Just wondering if people think the following is possible?

I'm flying out from T1 with Ryanair on Thursday, the gate closes at 5.20pm I'm planning on leaving work at 4pm (Temple Bar area) and hopping straight into an ordered taxi.

I have already checking in online, have my boarding pass and I only have carry on luggage. I know it'll be tight but should I have enough time to make this flight? 4 o clock is the earliest I can leave without taking a half-day and I'd prefer not to do that. Thanks!

Not enough time, you would want another hour. Traffic on a Thursday could be 40mins plus, then security at the airport, walking the 12mins or so to the gate etc.

Thursday evening traffic is the heaviest of the week, even with fast track security I see no way that you could make that flight leaving the city centre at 4
