Basic Leaf charging question

Can't really find an answer to this by googling it. On work chargers, there is a type 2 connection. What sequence do I use for connecting and disconnecting? Plug cable into type 2 socket on work charger and then connect other end to Leaf? And when leaving, disconnect from work charger socket, then disconnect other end from Leaf?

Sorry if this seems basic, but want to get into the right habit from he start!

It doesn't really matter what sequence you connect or disconnect.

Cheers for that. Maybe that's why I couldn't find anything :-)

    Overthinking it as usual...

Think I read that you should connect car side first. Don't think it really matters though.

The general advice is connect to the CP first, and disconnect the car first. But from experience it makes no difference.

It shouldn't matter at all, but depending on what charging unit you have, the manual, could state their recommended preference.

For example, my charge point states in the manual to plug into car first, then the charging unit.

    It's an ABL EVSE562 unit.

The switch on the type 1 car connector will cause the car to immediately disconnect the internal charger

So best practice is to connect the car last and disconnect the car first. In both cars the signalling in the cable ensures the cable is electrically dead until the car instructs the CP to start.

On the public SCPs I've used it says to connect the car last and disconnect the car first, as what BoatMad says.

But does it actually matter? It will charge regardless (in my experience)... won't it?

Disconnecting a leaf ,again it's better to have the car switch of the charger by way of the switch on the type 1 connector , then pull the cable from the other end first
