    According to irishfeen

I do know that the current white cards are due to be replaced sooner rather then later.

Any more info/intell on this irishfeen?

    =======================================================
I spotted this in the recently closed Card Sharing thread (which perhaps should be re-opened for comment, now that card sharing has been completely blocked).

What would the purpose be for issuing new cards now that card sharing has been blocked?

What would the new cards do, that is required but not available with the present cards?

Orange ones and when removing out of the box , box goes black
not one tv station to view
Tried to do it last week to view some British tv stations and it didn't work anymore

Think they doing that to make the skyQ boxes useless to sale on

Removing the card kills the output altogether? Wow!

They cannot be sold on, they remain the property of Sky during the subscription period and must be returned at the end.

That was to introduce new encryption as the old one was cracked.

The latest is not cracked ...... card sharing has effectively been defeated.(for the present at least)

    Any more info?

Seems to be deliberately to ensure the SkyQ box is completely useless without a card/subscription.

Sky's T&Cs are quite specific. Q boxes remain the property of Sky and therefore MUST be returned when contract closed.
    Sky.com
All Sky Q kit is loaned to you at no cost and must be returned at the end of your subscription. Sky Q 1TB box: 700GB personal storage. Sky Q 2TB box: 1.7TB personal storage. 300GB storage reserved by Sky.

They did not retain ownership of previous boxes.
