Health Insurance Question - Question

    Good morning everyone :)

Recently I' was on holiday abroad and needed to go and see a doctor as I developed an abscess on my gum.

Yesterday I contacted my insurance provider to enquirer as to whether this is something I could claim back via my health insurance.

They replied asking me 'if this was due to an accident or an emergency?'.

Is there a wrong answer here? I would like to get some reimbursal of the money I spent on the doctor's visit, so I'm approaching this gingerly :pac:

    Thanks for reading!

I'd consider it an emergency, otherwise you would have waited until you were home :)

Nobody seeks out a doctor while on holidays unless they really have to.
