Campagnolo brake shoe query

I've recently put a Campag Potenza groupset on a bike. The brake shoes (i.e. the part that holds the pads) are the type with the little screw to hold in the pad.

I also got Campag carbon wheels, which came with red carbon-specific pads. The pads seem to be a spring-clip type, which will not fit the Potenza brake shoes.

    There are 2 options here:
    1. Source Campag brake shoes which will accept the spring-clip pads that came with the wheels.
    2. Source the Campag red carbon pads which will fit the Potenza shoes.

I've been looking online but am not familiar enough with the Campy stuff to know what will work. It does not seem to be possible to go with option 1, as I cannot find any shoes for sale. The LBS tells me they can source the required parts, but there's an 8 week wait.

Is this the way with all Campy stuff? God bless Shimano.
Anyway, I'd appreciate any advice on how to source the required parts. My preferred option is 1 above (i.e. source Campag shoes (in silver) that will take the red carbon spring-clip pads).

Up to Potenza, no Campag shoes had the adjustable screw-type pad. With Potenza they opted to change - I would imagine, but cannot be sure, that this is to allow compatibility with Shimano pads - so it may just be a case of obtaining carbon rim specific pads- Black Prince are always a good option.

The spring-clip suitable pads you have are not suitable as far as I know, for Potenza, but are tradable as they work with all other Campag groups, or - as you say - you could source shoes to match these IF they will fit into the Potenza calipers - which I'm not sure. (I think I have spare set if you are stuck and want to go down this route)

Campag first made the change AFAIK with Athena. I bought a bike in early 2015 built with the newer EPS style thumbshifter and it came with the Shimano type pad carriers.

Shimano pads fit the carriers just fine. I've also swapped the carriers from Chorus11 into those Athena calipers at various stages and they fit/work fine.

Thanks guys. Yeah, Shimano Dura Ace carbon pads fit the Potenza shoes fine. However, Campag are VERY insistent that only their red pads should be used with the wheels. If anything happens the wheels, the warranty will probably be voided by use of other pads. So I guess I need to find some way to fit the supplied pads to suitable shoes, or source Campag red carbon pads which fit the Potenza shoes.

I cannot seem to find Campag spring clip shoes for sale on their own. I may have to buy the whole caliper unit too. Veloce calipers are probably cheapest. Do you reckon that spring clip shoes provided with the Veloce calipers would also fit the Potenza calipers?

https://www.bike24.com/p2175268.html You can buy the pads in Shimano fit anyway, might be able to find them cheaper elsewhere.

Thanks Plastik. It looks like they'll fit the Potenza calipers too. Cheers.

The Super record brakeset only use the spring clip mechanism in the brake shoe retainers to hold the pads(not record or chorus). A real pain in the ass to fit with no perceivable benefit whatsoever.
