Are the Gardai using drones for traffic?

    I was over and back between 2 roundabouts either side of a 1/2 mile road today on the outskirts of Limerick city, between the cement factory roundabout and the road toward the south court hotel, and there was traffic core on the side of the road along with a few civilians cars. Not sure if they were being pulled or not, but at each roundabout there were signs at both roundabouts saying "drones in use." Few drone operators on the side of the road with Gardai so I was wondering were they employing new technology or was it something stupid like a rsa ad or crimecall being filmed?

    Tldr; are the Gardai using drones in place of checkpoints?

    The Gardai are making up breath test figures, and speed detections, they cant even count money in Templemore.

    Who in the name of god would give them a drone? :p
