Just a quick question for a neighbour ,they started a CE last week and today received a payslip saying they would be coming home with €205 (confused me ) thought you only get €22 pw but were receiving social welfare payment which covered a qualified adult payment and 2 kids,
Now apparently no one has explained to her where or if she still gets a payment for her partner and kids ,
I would have thought you get the same amount as your current payment +€22 on a CE scheme ,

Anyone happen known to the in's and out of payments CE ,
Personally i don't know a lot about it and they are afraid to ask anyone directly

They should get the full payment for the dependant and two kids there's been a mix-up somewhere get her to talk to whoever does the payments. My husband was docked the 20 euro pw extra as tax so we never saw it when he was on ce scheme

    Community Employment programme

The Community Employment (CE) Programme is designed to help people who are long-term unemployed and other disadvantaged people to get back to work by offering part-time and temporary placements/training opportunities in jobs based within local communities. DSP gives financial support in the form of allowances and funding to assist with the Community Employment schemes. The rate of payment for new applicants based on 19.5 hours worked will be the equivalent to your existing DSP payment plus a ?22.50 participation bonus with a minimum weekly payment of ?210.50* increasing to ?215.50* from March 2017 (budget increase).

*You may receive extra payment in respect of a qualified adult dependent and qualified child dependents

The issue should be raised with whomever issued her with a payslip, and a payslip will be issued every week.

Usually the dept of social protection advise the ce scheme on the rate of pay for participants. It has been known for mistakes to happen. I would highly recommend bringing it up with her ce supervisor and request a dependents form in the mean time. I assume her partner and kids were on her claim up to now? If they were, it might just be an easy to fix mistake.

When we get a new starter, usually they get 204.40 or so in the first week if they are on the basic rate of 215.50. It increases back to the basic once revenue gets sorted, usually by the second week.

Thanks for the advice folks I will pass it on to her later today ,
She was pretty worried she was only now only getting €205 in total for the whole family ,
Hopefully its something simple to sort
