For easy phrases and some basic grammar duolingo is pretty good. I can also recommend Memrise, the focus is more on vocabulary learning and pronunciation. There are a lot of courses to choose from or you can even make your own. There's also an app on Ios called "Learn German for Kids", this is for really young children, but I have not tried it out yet.
