    I have Googled this but don t see a definitive answer. I had a knock to the door last week from a guy selling pension products. Is the selling of financial products in this way allowed?

    Not allowed. Banned since 2009 I think

    Not unless you gave consent for them to visit. Did you get the person's name or what firm they're from? If you did you should report them.
