I've heard nothing more than the original rumour he was going. I haven't seen him yet but again that's no surprise considering time of year.

He's moving to Scotland - to try and play for one of those new semi-pro teams

Is there a list of the club transfers floating around anywhere?

nothing official. You would have to ask union/provincial branches or some of the journalists to do it. Limerick leader does it for limerick clubs usually.

saw those results. Not that surprised with either. Universities mightn't have all players back from summer yet and trinity don't start classes for nearly a month so even more case with them.

Dolphin played college in cork charity cup last night but haven't seen a result yet

Actually just saw elsewhere trinity are in Italy for a pre season training camp so very much only getting started unlike other clubs who may have bit more work done at this stage

Was at our game last night. Really good game for the first hit out. Our scrum (which was very dominate) and pace/tempo gave us the upper hand. Couple of new faces played - Dylan Donnellan, James McKeown, John Smith and Joe Roe. Rob McGrath also played so obviously is not transferring to Barnhall. V. impressed with John Smith and Dylan Donnellan but excellent debuts. James McKeown was given some awful ball and did well but didn't get enough to really impress. Joe Roe looked good but scrum wasn't as effective with him in it. Played some really nice rugby at times. Naas were good in patches but missed a few  opportunities.

Big win for Garryowen over Munsters - Had heard they have been heavily recruiting

Heard that Garryowen managed to shift a lot of their debt or offset it in some way which has freed up a lot of money for recruitment purposes.

They have, wouldn't read too much into the scoreline, YM had a largely 2nd string front five, and only 2 of the back line will start. Garryowen not at full strength either but have a large squad assembled and it told.

Anyway hope we can get some good games behind us in the next two weeks, roll on the start of the league hoping to see if we can hit the ground running.

Garryowen way better – had new players panda (prop from trinity) darren ryan (munsters) aaron mccloskey and diarmuid mccarthy (also ex munsters) who all played well . Their scrum was excellent and much improved from last season,

Both sides understrength us more so than them – still thoughh tis depressing to our old rivals in el clasico 1.

Only thing now cookie fan the only game we have between now and sep 16 is munster senior cup, maybe a good thing in that charity cup final is in november and i think that would mean having to play 7 weeks on the bounce. Going to be a very difficult game first up v UCD

Heard he was scrum coaching them last year supposedly turned their scrum from a disgrace to a dominant one. Doubt he's playing he murder boys at that level.

Mal okelly was there for a good few years. Played up to 3 years ago with them. They have been very strong the last two years and now they are senior for the first time.
Mal is in St Mary's now I think as forwards coach.
