Sky On Demand - now with added ads?

So I downloaded a few episodes of a new series from Sky Atlantic On Demand and skipped the first 2 minutes (they've been appending ads before the start of the programme for a while now) and had to watch an additional minute of ads before it started (it used to be 2 but I guess it's now 3 minutes). 15 minutes into the programme and to my horror, there was a full blown ad break. Since when did On Demand become a carbon copy of the live TV experience and why are they fleecing us for a HD sub to watch yet more ads?
I'm paying 100 euro per month for a sub and yet subjected to this sneaky underhanded tactic.

Think I'll be cancelling. Can't justify paying for a service that annoys me in such a manner.

At least you can fast forward through them. Try doing that on the online RTE Player...

    I think Catch-Up has ads.

Boxsets shouldn't though? Unless this is a recent change?

RT? Player is unusable with ads, if your skipping through a chat show you have to watch each slot of ads regardless if you just want to get to the last 10 minutes worth.

Agree, fortunately there are no ads on the RTE player on Sky.
