Didnt get an invite for closed beta 7 so bought it (20 blips).

This is a very, very good game, steamrolled a few matches then came up against a solid defence and we got our arses kicked.

64 man game of standard Conquest type gameplay but as with RS1 its hard....really really hard.

Hue City is a savage map, there are a lot more but that stands out.

    how good?

i've been trying to pick a new fps to get into,
I dont wana dive in then less than a month later theres only 100 people world wide playing it.

I liked rs1. but when I picked it up there was i think at most 2k people on the community hub at peak time.

Its the way of the world now, I am loving this.

Siege and PUBG taking a break for now.

Tempted by this. Own Rising Storm but actually never really played it apart from a token amount - but anything Vietnam is hard to resist. Only thing is will I have time to play it....BF1 takes up most of my time now, have games I bought months ago that still haven't been touched.

Conquest style gameplay - it is capping control points or just a giant team deathmatch?

I have only been playing Conquest, I think there are more modes. You have to cap 2 flags then a 3rd opens up then a 4th/5th its very slick. Capping is having more of your team on the flag then them. They can only take them back if 2 are in play.

    That soundtrack tho.

Tip: Turn it from default border less window to full screen and Nvidia thing works, I had an awesome "come get some" moment with an MG and about 15 of their team but it didn't record :(

    Beta over, very enjoyable game.

They really need to fix the sound issues for the next one.

Free to play Beta on steam this weekend.

Playing it a lot today ,its great stuff.
I still find it clunky in the animations and movement departments just like all the previous RO games but it looks a lot better and just feels like a shiney new lick of paint over Rising Storm 1 which is a good thing as it was great.
As a veteran RO player from the very first beta of 80 people [kinda proud of that :P] all those years ago this certainly gets a thumbs up from me, realism FPS set in Vietnam at its best, its only €13 on cd key sites at the moment too.

Sound is mostly fixed but I would still like the guns to be more defined.

Prefer the Territories game mode over the conquest with every flag available.

Played it and hated it. I LOVE Rising Storm 2 and Red Orchestra but this in my opinion in ten steps back.
First game I've actually got a refund on with Steam. Just feels all wrong. The movement is even more clunky than RS2 terrible maps, at one stage I was killed because I couldn't jump over a twig on the ground !! :'( I had to run around it after that lol. I know it's Beta but it's poor. At least with Steam you can try before you buy but for me It will have to change drastically for me to invest again in it.

I tried the closed beta wave ..7 (?). Thought the game was a lot of fun, but the movement/controls were pretty bad. Especially when you were trying to crawl, it was terrible. I only played the Hill map though, so I wouldn't know if it was limited to that one map. Maybe that is something they will improve, but based on the beta I'm not going to buy the game.

I doubt we will see any improvements to movement, every game is the series has been the same, they all feel clunky.
Its as if tripwire simply cannot improve things in this department which is such a massive shame because everything else about it is very good.

This launches in one hour on Steam. I picked up a copy from GreenManGaming for €18. Looking forward to this! :D

Just got the digital deluxe edition on instant gaming for €10 , hell of a bargain.
    Open beta was awesome.

Final version looks a bit nicer, excellent game really enjoying it.

Definitely noticing performance improvements over the beta,it also feels less clunky and a bit more fluid in the movement department which is a pleasant surprise.
Gunplay is brilliant, so satisfying getting kills.

Got a 25% off voucher from Greenmangaming, so decided to buy it after all. Should be worth the €15 easily, I think. Not sure how much time I'll actually have to play it..

This game is so unforgiving. I was trying to defend "B" on my own for what felt like an age and I saw some movement in a hut, so I opened fire and got 3 teamkills....... I was basically public enemy No. 1 :D

I flash fried most of my team with a flamethrower, 3 minute TK penalty.
