Residency!

Hi, I've recently moved to Ireland with my family and I have a question about residency. My father is the main bread winner and he is habitually resident (so we're under his habitual residency) and I was wondering, since I'm technically still a child (17) and receiving child benefits, etc, am I entitled to residency when I turn 18? Is it different because I'm still a child here and under a habitual residency? Let me know
