Two adjacent properties have been merged into a new single folio. What is the situation re property tax etc.
    Thanks

    No effect at all.

It simply is an administrative exercise in the Land Registry

    Thanks for reply Mr.Incognito

We have joined the two properties via a small hallway as there was less than a metre between them. Both properties are owned by us and registered in our names. What do we need to do to have them registered as a single unit?
    Thanks

    Contact a solicitor.

If you owned the land they might both be within the same freehold already

They might be on the same freehold but both have separate leases and the leases are on different folios. The property tax applies to dwellings. It doesn't matter how many folios are covered by the dwelling or how many dwellings are on the folio. Each dwelling ahs to pay its own tax.

    Thanks again for your replies.

It is now just one dwelling as both have been joined into one. What do we do to have them determined as one for the purposes of property tax etc.?

Thanks again for your help and sorry for not explaining properly in the first place.
