Do women in 40s use condoms?

A friend who is late 40s said women her age don't use condoms. I just wondered was this true?
The friend is online dating and enjoying the sexual adventures with new guys. I thought she should be more careful. Not babies wise, she's got that sorted, but STI wise. Just wondered what opinions were or experience from guys who dated ladies in 40s?
I wonder is it more risky cause you would be dating guys who don't use condoms either on a 1st or 2nd date.

Women in their 40s have no magical immunity from STDs; the advice to them would be exactly the same as the advice to any other sexually active person. If, as you say, she's having sex with a number of partners, and they as well as she are not in an exclusive relationship, and she knows relatively little of their sexual history, her risk of exposure to an STD is definitely elevated. Systematic use of condoms would definitely be advisable.

As to whether women in their 40s who are in non-exclusive sexual relationships do or don't use condoms, I have no solid information. Neither, I suspect, does your friend.

You have the same thread open in TLL OP and I imagine the consensus here will be the same. I've never heard of women in their forties not using a condom because of their age. Pregnancy is still a big factor and of course like you mention STI's. It is naive of your friend to think otherwise.
