Final year Arts student here for one reason or another have missed the majority of the year, am gonna try doing the exams in August as i only need a pass degree for the course i want to do.

What i'm asking really is it possible to put the head down from now until august and complete a years worth of work in order to secure a pass or am i kidding myself?

    grateful for any advice offered

The best advice is to contact the relevant departments immediately and make an appointment to see either the lecturer responsible for third years or the department head. Alternatively, contact the School of Arts directly. Explain why you haven't been attending and what you are proposing to do. Some lecturers may agree to give you extra tutoring over the summer.

If you don't make the relevant people aware of your situation, and you have attended little or no lectures, it's possible that you may not be allowed to present for examination -
'Attendance is not optional, but an obligatory requirement. Non-attendance may be considered de facto withdrawal from a course and students may be unable to proceed to examination or subsequent registration’.

Covering Six modules in just over two months will be very difficult but not impossible. Make contact, make your case, and they will help you to work something out.

    Best of Luck :)
