How do I cancel authorisation of a payment

Hi, I placed 2 orders online with Hotter.com on the 8th May using Paypal which is linked to my BOI account.  After I authorised the payments on the Paypal site I was directed back to the website as usual but each time received an error messages stating that the Paypal plug-in failed and I could not confirm the orders. I have spoken with Hotter and they say they never received the orders.  However the transactions are listed as pending in Paypal and in my Bank online statement. How do I ensure that these transactions do not go through and get my money back?   (On the 9th May I used a different browser and placed an order with no problems and received confirmation of that order, so that payment is also showing as pending on my account. I have no problem with that order).

    Thanks

Hi Wexfordshopper, thanks for getting in touch and welcome to Boards.ie

If these transactions were not processed by the retailer and the orders for these amounts were not completed then these transactions should be reversed on your account. This happens automatically but could take up to 5 working days.

I hope this helps, please let me know if you need anything else, thanks.
    Nicola
