Heading to our first camp site this summer. Its in Spain.

Considering we will be cooking ourselves, wondering if its safe to drink and cook with the tap water in the mobile home, or should we buy bottled?

It all depends how the water is getting to the mobile home, if it's direct from the mains and no holding tank on site I would drink it, if not I wouldn't risk it as it might ruin your holiday if it's contaminated, same for cooking.

Bottled water is very cheap, 500ml bottles less than 20 cent in the likes of Meracadona, SuperSol, Carrefour, I'd say Lidl/Aldi the same, avoid smaller corner type shops or you would be looking at multiples of that. Probably cheaper again for larger 5L bottles.

In my experience tap water is fine for tea, coffee & cooking. Generally I wouldn't drink water straight from the tap.

We usually but some smaller bottles for convenience and a large 5l bottle or two to top up the smaller ones as we go.

It depends on the campsite. If its one used by Eurocamp or the like, then you shouldn't have an issue. But ask the courier when you arrive.

We stayed in a campsite in Lloret de Mar last June with Eurocamp and had no issues with the water - quite liked it actually. But the supermarket water is, as others have said, extremely cheap.

Consum is another good supermarket - cheaper than Mercadona. You will recognise these supermarkets by the decals of fruit on the windows - you can't miss them.
