Adding Shower room to Utility

    Hi everyone,

We are renovating our 1970 bungalow, we are adding in a utility to the house beside the kitchen and on to the utility we are having a shower room my idea is for kids closer than going up to the main bathroom to shower and mud and stuff going with the kids. The Architect wants us to put a door from the utility into the main bathroom to use that one instead but I don't want to do that.

What do you think about this, is it a good idea to add extra bathroom on to utility or do what he said. Not sure cost of adding a shower room wont be that big.

    Thanks

Do what you want! He's there to make suggestions but it's what you need is paramount.
I met with an architect last week over something similar and her plan and my wishes divulged but after some explanation as to the why she came up with the goods. They want to provide you with their best work so are tentative when your wishes collide with their aesthetic.
