Dog Hates Walking Now

My dog is always full of energy. She must have a perpetual motion machine or something in her body because she basically never tires. Because of this, I started going on hour long walks with her around two-three weeks ago. She was fine for a while. However, for around the last three days, she has been refusing to go on walks with me. She always pulls away and tries to make me walk her home very early on in our walks. It's not that she hates walking, for example yesterday I walked her to the dog park. Once she realized where we were going she started walking a lot faster in the direction of the park. Once we were finally there, she ran around and barked at other dogs, like she did before she started being weird about walking.
Basically, I just want her to be fine with walking wherever like before, but I have very few ideas about what could be causing her to do this.
    1. We did recently change her food. However, it appears to have no impact on her health.
    2. On one of our walks, very close to before she started hating walking, we heard fireworks that scared her a lot.
    3. She might have an injury that I don't know about.
Please help. I refuse to go on walks completely alone.

Could be the pavement is really hot and it's hurting her feet in the sun.

I had the exact same problem with our dog. One day we're at the park where she got scared by fireworks and pulled home like the devil was after her.
    Afterwards she refused to walk.
How we fixed it was to do shorter walks starting at our house and expand them. Now she's back to normal. It took a few weeks though.
You could also try motivating her with treats.

When I say she's back to normal. She was attacked once around two years ago by a larger dog at a street close to hour house. She still hesitates to this day to go up that street but eventually does it after some chest scratchies and encouragement.

Took us a bit of patience. Good luck!

A dog I had over 10 years ago all of a sudden just hated walks too.
What I found worked even though it looked a bit mental was to get a third of a slice a ham and just dangle it on the side the dog is walking. Like the donkey following the carrot!
It never let me down.then when you get home, well done dog have a bit of ham

I just found something out: she's perfectly fine with walking around our neighborhood, she only starts acting weird when we start to leave the neighborhood or are outside the neighborhood. It's definitely nothing to do with her physical health or diet change, so it's likely she's still freaked out over the fireworks.

Charlie was walking past a shop a few months back which had blinking LED all over the place - when we approached the shop after a few times it was just as the LED's changed and started flashing all over the place, scared the crap out of him, he hates walking up past that shop now. Always hesitates when he knows its close and cowers away. Taking it slow was the best way to deal with it.

Id the same before with my duskie and crows after one attacked her...once we approached the location she got scared...once we changed the walking route for a while she was fine....went back to the old route after a few weeks and no issues.
