Define hard locked. Did you enter in puk incorrectly 10 times?

No, the network provided unlock code was entered on more than three occasions.

Are you talking about the SIM lock pin, or the networking unlocking code?

    Yes, the networking unlock code.

Go to phone dialler and enter

    *#*#7378423#*#*

This will open up the service setting menu.

    Then go to

    Service info

    Then

    Sim lock

    Then
    If it shows:
    (x) network lock. 0
It's hard locked now to 3

    Unlocked is
    () network lock. 0

    Locked but unlockable is
    (x) network lock. 1-5

If you've put it into lockout mode only Sony can resolve it, and may not be accommodating.

Yes, I did that procedure earlier and it's showing lockout mode. The phone would need to be repaired by Sony Ireland, you are saying, or could someplace like CEX do it? I wonder what the approximate cost would be? The warranty period has expired.

They use a place in Sandyford for some stuff, but chances are it would go to Sony Mobiles service center in the UK. No idea on price, they may just say a blank no.

Nobody else should be able to do it as the keys are private.
