advice urgently needed on outfit please

I'm going to an old friends wedding this weekend. I'm 3 stone overweight thanks to medication I am on but will be off later in the summer. I wasn't going to go to the wedding because nothing fits me and apart from wearing a black tent to cover me I am completely clueless as of what to wear at the size I am. I just want to be comfortable but look kind of glam too. I'm 5 foot 8 and size 16 (closer to 18). Not a high heel person at all bit am willing to wear maybe mid heels. But outfit wise I've not got a clue. My tummy is overweight and my arms. Everywhere really out of shape. To add to this I have psoriasis from shoulders all the way down. It's the guttate type so red scaly dots all over, lovely. ...not. I'm not gonna over think it or get down about it just wanted some pointers as I'm clueless. Thanks

These looks brutal online but I bought these two dresses and they are very flattering black one I'll jazz up with high heels and jewellery and the yellow one is for a confirmation with a nice pair of shoes

You could try Cos either. Because everything is oversized it hides a multitude of sins. I got a lovely dress on there about 2 weeks ago for 60 euro. Mid length sleeves.

Monsoon always have great clothes for weddings
Up to size 20/22, and they tend to have jackets, dressy cardigans, wraps to match as well as shoes and accessories for each dress
They'll prob have dresses with varying lengths and/or skirt & tops

I'm surprised no-one has already said this but size 16-18 is not huge OP, don't be so hard on yourself. I agree with poster above, Monsoon do beautiful stuff although very expensive.

Nice Cardigan with any dress will solve the arms problem.

I'm of a similar 'stature' and always want a dress with sleeves.
I find gathers at the waist are relatively forgiving.
Wearing loose fitting clothes definitely doesn't help.
Nothing wrong with a LBD!

If you are near Arnotts take a look at a brand called "Chesca" - they have a website too, and aim at the fuller figure woman. I think they look great - am not connected to either brand. Will give you ideas even if they are not what you want.
