Hi all I'm looking for an amplier to power my record player - something that sounds decent but won't break the bank . Budget of €200-€250 . Dont mind what brand so long as it does the job - saw a Marantz PM5005 on Amazon for £162 and wonder would this be any good . Just for use at home - have a reasonable record player and speakers . Would like to hear what ye think thanks.

    Hi ger valley,

The PM5005 is a very good amp, we actually have them in store for £149.95 but they would need to be collected in store and are unavailable for shipping at the moment.

I would also recommend the Cambridge AM10 which is a fantastic amp with a built in phono stage. I prefer the sound of the Cambridge to the Marantz as it's a lot cleaner. These are available for shipping at 229.99 Euro including shipping.

Let me know what you think.

    Kind regards

    David
