    Last call for Pre-registration

It will close out this evening to allow printing of scoresheets.

Of course you can also just turn up on the day and avail of any free lanes on details.

How did the shoot fair? Seemed a good turnout, but with the range so busy it was hard to tell who was attending what. :D

From the shooters perspective it seemed to go well, my first time at the Midlands range. It's a good set up you have.

First time there also. Went to see the Target Shotgun classes. Watched the centrefire gallery rifle 1500 as well.
Good setup, and helpful friendly people.

I'm a member there and think it's a cracking facility.
Would loved to have got up but couldn't make it up yesterday as the young lad made his communion

First time there, as I said, and first time taking any notice of gallery rifle shooting.
Had no idea at all about it, so when they called the 1500 class, I wasn't expecting it to be on a 50 metre range ........ :D
    Google to the rescue......

We where going to shoot it at 1500m but found that wee breeze down there was blowing the .22 bullets off a few inches, I mean yards sorry :)

Great day on the range yesterday. Amazing buzz on arrival. Great facilities, fast check in, especially if you had registered in advance. Details ran like clockwork. Very good atmosphere with no undercurrents. Looks like it will be a superb venue for future competitions especially the "International".

For future reference are spectators allowed or is it for shooters only ?

The short answer is that spectators are always welcome.

The longer answer is that these are shooting ranges - and it is up to them and they like to know who is on site.
As you can imagine, if people do not know who someone is - they will approach them to find out what they are doing there.

So it is always best to let people know you are coming. If bringing someone with you - introduce them upon arrival.
Most ranges have a sign-in process - even if spectators, ensure they sign in.

Obviously safety is paramount, so eye and ear protection are always required.
