Tucson really seems to have killed the Santa Fe. Dangers of having a style that's way too close to the more expensive car? Not that I imagine Hyundai are too worried about how that played out. Kia's Sorrento seems to be doing well in its place.

It is clear differentiation - if you want/need seven seats, you go to Santa Fe.

It seems to me that if you want seven seats you now go for the Sorrento. I haven't seen a new Santa Fe since the arrival of the Tucson, and they used to be fairly popular.

The likes of the X Trail for €15k less is what killed the Santa Fe
    Kodiaq similar story.

Santa Fe is way too expensive for the brand IMO

Delivery and related charges seem to be approx €1000?

The Ioniq BEV is not going to see new deliveries until October as both the UK and Irish production allocations are sold out.

However if you're willing to wait, placing an order now with the scrappage makes the Ioniq a steal at ~€25k fully equipped.

I wonder has the numbers sold increased the chance of selling the higher spec for the Ioniq?

It would be nice if it did. We're getting an Ioniq BEV spec that's about halfway between the UK's two specs. The biggest issue being the lack of a factory leather interior.

Yeah... Once the sales numbers get past what Hyundai needs to balance their fleet average emissions/consumption I'd expect the Ioniq to be the last car they offer discounts on. They have a razor thin margin on them.
So for future promotions we might see the Ioniq suspiciously missing from the list of models.
