    hey folks,
After 10 years of working in this beautiful country i decided to move to Germany.
I've ceased work and left Ireland on 30th June 2016 (worked less than half of year). Got my P45 and applied for return of unused tax credits via P50 (that was by the end of August last year).
However... now when doing final self assessment (Form 11) for year 2016 via Revenue online services, i am not sure whenever i am eligible to claim full tax credits for the whole year, or am i just allowed to claim partial tax credits for 6/12 of a year ?  My tax credits consisted of Standard Tax credit, PAYE tax credit, medical insurance tax credit and rental tax credit.
It seems if i claim for the whole year i am due further refunds, but want to make 100% sure i've right to do this... thanks in advance for your advices.

It depends on how long you intend to leave for. If you intend to return, you may not be due the full amount of credits.

However, if you are gone permanently (or for at least over 2 years), you can get the benefit of full credits, as you are considered ordinarily resident here, given your 10 years in the state

thanks gerrybbadd. Most likely i will be gone permanently. Would ordinarily residence require me to report my world wide income AFTER i left the state? I've started working in Germany right away (from 1st of July) and that makes me also a tax resident in Germany for year 2016, which requires me to report on my world wide income which increases my income tax.

    No, you won't have to.

Fill out a Form P50, and submit this to the Irish Revenue with your P45.

In the section about leaving the country, state that you have left permanently, and won't return. That's all you will have to do.
