I have an 06 BMW X5 E53. When I pull up the handbrake the lever will only stay in place if pulled all the way to the top with some force.

It reckon the cogs need to be replaced/fixed.

Could anyone recommend someone with experience for the job?

Its an 11 year old car so don't want to go to a main dealer.
    Tks.
