Sky Multiroom and alternatives for a new build

    Hi,

We are getting towards the end of our new build construction and we are considering how to install TV feeds.

The plan was to have the box(es) held in a cupboard with a number of other electrical devices thus leaving the TVs in isolation in the rooms.

We are trying to figure out how to get TV into our rooms. I've not spoken recently to the electrican as the first fix has been completed and we are not expecting to do the second fix for a while yet. I'm assuming that there will be magic eyes (or similar) in order to control the boxes (although we have CAT5 in each room so possibly could use that?). Although I'm not usre how much foresight he has on this.

As we are in NI we want to have the option of RTE & TG4 in both main rooms - which we can only get via Saorsat or Sky).
We have Sky in our current house, but only have Saorsat (via a second dish) in the second room. The main room has RTE via Sky.

In our new house, I can see it also being Sky in our primary room as we do not have many other viable options - too remote for cable TV and BT does not carry RTE.

How do we best install a setup so that we have RTE/TG4 in at least both main rooms. We also have 3 bedrooms to install at least Freesat into. I was hoping to work all off a single dish with an Octo LNB - although I'm aware the Saorsat will require a large second dish - which would be nice to avoid.

Each room (including bedrooms) has satellite shotgun cabling, CAT5 and telephone points. All these services terminate in the previously mentioned cupboard.

The TV's in the bedrooms should have an integrated freesat tuner. Although I'm wondering if there is something better that I can do in the main cupboard?

    So to summarise:

    1. What options do I have to get RTE feeds into both rooms?
    2. Is there an straightforward way to get independant Sky into each room without the expensive cost of Multiroom?
    3. Is there anything more advanced we could be looking at for the bedrooms other than plain Freesat?
    4. What way would you layout out for this setup?

    Thanks.
