Had planned on playing Moyvalley on Tuesday but the course looks dead and as a single it knocks it off the list.

    So, Greenore or Seapoint?

Generally like parkland more than links but love courses with nice views, makes up for the s***e golf

Played Seapoint recently, and I have to admit I was not overwhelmed.......don't get me wrong it's a fine course (and friendly folk), but I'm not sure why it gets such rave reviews?

The final 3 holes are stunning and show what a decent designer can do with the raw material. The other 15 won't disappoint but they could be on any decent course anywhere.

Also, if your preference is for parkland, you won't be disappointed :) The first few holes are very 'parkland' and the last few are superb links holes, the rest in between, are just that "in between" being "linksy" holes and parkland holes......."parklinks" :D

Jawgap makes an interesting point about the 'parkland' feel. Seapoint is a links for all 18 holes... but because of the previous agricultural use (for a nearby factory) many of the opening holes no longer feel that way. The club is trying to bring the full links feel back. That said, I can't disagree with Jawgap's comments.

Greenore is flattish but a lot of fun and if you want views, you'll certainly have those. Some photos.
