Honda Jazz

    Hoping for some advice...

I own a 2004 Honda Jazz with UK plates. The MOT is out, and the VRT would be €400 or so to allow me to get an NCT done. Considering the car's age and low value, I've decided to buy a new car instead of converting the plates.

So the question is, what's my best option for getting rid of the Jazz? I was thinking maybe drive it up to the North and sell it to a dealer there? Would this be okay (it has English plates)? The other option would be to try and sell it for scrap/parts. Anyone done this and know what sort of figure I'd get?

    Any advice appreciated.

Sell it on donedeal as is. It will be worth even less to a dealer than it is to you now.

If you owned the car in the uk for a while before importing here - it might be vrt exempt.

I did, but the amount of paperwork involved to get the VRT exemption makes it impossible. I lived with family and don't have any household bills/paperwork proving residence, even my bank statements were all virtual. :(

In regard to selling it on donedeal, would I be better off getting the MOT done in the North before trying to sell it?
